Any of the pool companies
that clean pools, that contract with pool owners and are not licensed pool
contractors.

Rob:

1. I suggest you post your license just like a CPO would.

2. The pool owner or his direct employee is exempt from this
requirement, so it depends if the employee is employed or is contracting with
the owner.

3. Pool contractors licensed under Section 489.105(3)(j), (k)
or (l) are also exempt from this certification requirement. That would be
commercial or residential. or servicing pool contractors.

Subject: Pool question

Hello Bob,

I have had several questions lately concerning the operation of commercial pools as a licensed contractor or a valid 16 hour course (ieCPO). Can you please clarify so I can properly inform my students.

When an inspector performs a routine check at a public swimming pool in accordance to 64E-9, can a County or State Pool License be put onsite in lieu of a certification of 16 hours ( ie NSPF CPO) if that person is
servicing the pool?

Does a Hotel Employee have to have a valid 16 hour course (ieCPO) when maintaining a public swimming pool?

Does an employee of a Licensed Pool Contractor need to have a valid 16 hour course (ie CPO) ?

Sincerely,
