I got my start in the swimming pool industry in September 1999 when I purchased a Swimming pool cleaning route from Steve Farber & Clear & Clean Pools. I bought 43 accounts and recieved some training through them. I did all kinds of different specialized advertising and doubled my route every year until I sold about 300 accounts in 2003. I obtained my CPO certification in August of 2001 with the late Bailey Prowell. I recieved my Broward County Swiming Pool and Spa Service license in 2002. I sold all of my pool routes in July of 2004 and started a wholesale distribution store in the same warehouse I used to store all of my service chemicals & vehicles in Coconut Creek. I earned the rank of CPOI Certified Pool Operator Instructor in 2003 and have educated thousands of clients through the CPO course and specialized classes. The class most requested is the dry chemical class which shows service techs how to maintain a swimming pool for about $1 per week. I grew the wholesale distribution company and in 2007 I opened a 2nd location in Lake Worth, Florida. I sold the store in Coconut Creek in October 2007 and the Lake Worth store in March of 2008. I have consulted with other distribution companies, service companies, and manufacturers in their startup, operation , & growth through education and experience. I am in the process in writing a book to assist people obtain licensing for the State Commercial & Residential builders along with Swimming Pool & Spa Service contractors licenses. I will be offering study guides, Continuing Education, and cram courses starting in Jan 2009 exclusively through Gold Coast Schools.
